Installation
of new vacuum toilets on the Xplorer railcars
The scope was to replace the
existing toilet with a new vacuum toilet. To further improve
the appearance of the toilet cubicle, a new handdryer, new handrails,
new vinyl, new tap,
new ergonomic rubbish bin and new toilet paper dispenser was installed
and the vanity
top was recoated.
The new vacuum toilet, manufactured
by Semco, Denmark, solved the problems that
related to the old, recycling type of toilet. As well as improving the
environment in the
toilet cubicle, the new toilet also gives a better reliability, easier
maintenance and a
minimum usage of water for the flush function.
All the other work performed greatly enhanced the appearance of the toilet
cubicle. |
