Guard's Audible Indication Device (AID) The Audible Indication Device (AID) has been fitted on the suburban, interurban and Tangara fleet. It is mounted above the door in each cab and gives the guard an audible indication (three beeps in a short sequence) when all doors in the trainset has closed. Besides the supply voltage (120VDC or 24VDC), the device has a control voltage input, which is configured so that the audible signal is triggered when the control signal goes low. The device has been supplied with various style of brackets to fit different mounting locations. |
